Old Pal has old friend energy-- relaxed, stable, and comforting. It also has new friend energy-- creative, curious, and energized. Working together, these energies open your tea session up to some seriously good times.
This tea (picked in 2021) is grown in Guanyang Village, in the Fuding region of China. The mature leaves and buds are picked, minimally processed, and pressed into cakes. Because of the living enzyme in the leaf and stem, the tea ages wonderfully, developing deep, sweet flavors of honey sweet vanilla sweet bread crust. Enjoy the 3+ years of age on this tea now, or age further. Though be warned, it's so good it's hard to keep on the shelf!
Steeping @200 -212 degrees, the leaves begin their tale of unfolding. The first steeping are warm and welcoming, with blossoming fall fragrances of honey, fall apples, and sweetbread. The leaves have a lot of life to give. The energy grows steadily, like wind filling your sails. As the tea hits it's stride --full speed ahead-- rose and apple flavors clearly take shape above the grounding hull of the teas foundation. A perfect companion for splendid moments of solitude or sharing with friends.
Let Old Pal bring the spirit of adventure-- whether the journey's venturing into the great unknown, or exploring your inner world.
